Chalkyitsik, Alaska Trip

July 17 – 24, 2020

The Chalkyitsik trip is to a remote village that is just north of the Arctic Circle. Northeast of Fairbanks towards the Canadian border. The people are part of the Athabascan Indians.

Our previous trips have included VBS, women’s ministry events and a community cookout. The people love to play basketball and softball and the kids love for us to go swimming in the river with them. There may be opportunity for light maintenance or cleanup.  So much of the week is taking advantage of any opportunity for relationship building and sharing the Love of Jesus.

Salmon Frenzy, Kenai Alaska

July 21 – 28, 2020

At Salmon Frenzy, we will host service projects for Alaskan residents camping out on the Cook Inlet beaches at the Kenai  and Kasilof Rivers.Thousands of Alaskans are dip-netting sockeye salmon as an annual family event.

The ministry approach is gentle servanthood and need-meeting through various methods: Kids Clubs, Bounce Houses, Prayer Walking, Traffic Control, Trash Pick-up and serving free hot dogs, water and hot cocoa. Share Christ in personal and relational ways. We engage the public in this secular forum through servant evangelism. This is "Beach Reach" Alaskan style!

Knysna, South Africa

June  24 – July 4, 2020

The City of Knysna, South Afria is on the Garden Route on the Southern most portion of the Continent of Africa. The city is primarily built along the shores of the Knysna Lagoon which is fed by the Knysna River. This lagoon opens up into the Indian Ocean.

Knysna is home to nearly 70,000 people. Of these residents, 50,000 are of the Xhosa people that deal with some of the most poverty stricken conditions imaginable. Our mission trip will be reaching into this community with the Love of Jesus and the powerful message His salvation. We will join missionaries Chris and Rebecca Wilkins and other Evangelical groups to touch lives with God’s Love.
